Black History Month
Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by Black Americans and a time for recognizing the central role of Black folx in U.S. history. It is the mission of San Diego Unified School District to educate on the rich culture, invaluable contributions, struggles, triumphs, and memorable figures of African American History in the hopes that these efforts are observed from January 1st-December 31st. Read some of our Board of Education's recent resolutions to support Black students, staff, and community including the 2021 Black History Month Resolution, the Summer of Freedom Resolution, and the Juneteenth Resolution!
